ZINGA Official Video
What is ZINGA?
ZINGA was originally invented at the University of Ghent (UGent), Belgium, in the 1970s and has since been used in a wide variety of projects throughout the world.
ZINGA is a high-performance cold film galvanizing system designed to provide superior corrosion protection for metal surfaces, especially steel. Unlike traditional hot-dip galvanizing, ZINGA’s unique formulation allows for easy application at room temperature, using a brush, roller, or spray gun. ZINGA contains over 96% zinc in its dry film, offering unmatched cathodic protection and durability, making it a preferred choice for industries requiring long-lasting zinc coating.
ZINGA is Not Paint!
ZINGA is an active zinc coating that works synergistically with the underlying metal, unlike traditional paints and primers, which act solely as passive barriers. No matter how thickly paint is applied, it remains just a barrier—and once that barrier is compromised by impact or scratches, corrosion begins instantly.
Though ZINGA is often mistaken for paint due to its liquid form and packaging, the differences are substantial. Unlike paint, ZINGA does not form a skin in the tin, boasts an unlimited pot life, and never becomes tacky, making it a superior choice for long-lasting corrosion protection.
